1. The service

PDF-OP provides free online tools for working with PDF files. The tools run in your web browser: files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. No registration is required. The service is financed by advertising.

2. Your documents

You may only process documents that you are entitled to use. You are responsible for the content of your documents and for complying with any rights of third parties. Only remove a password from a document if you are authorised to do so.

3. Results and backups

We work hard to produce correct results, but PDF files vary widely and some features (for example bookmarks or interactive form fields) may not be preserved, as described on each tool page. Always check results before relying on them, and keep your original files. The tools never modify or delete your original files.

4. Availability

The service is provided free of charge and without a guaranteed level of availability. We may change, extend or discontinue tools at any time.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise, liability is excluded.

6. Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected.
