Arrange PDF pages

Put the pages of a PDF in the order you need, like arranging sheets on a desk. Drag pages to a new place or use the arrow buttons, move several selected pages together, and see the new order at once. Pages can also be rotated, duplicated or removed. The original pages are reordered, not re-rendered, so nothing loses quality.

How to use Arrange pages

  1. Select a PDF file or drag it into the box. Enter the password if it is protected.
  2. Drag pages by their handle to a new place, or use the arrows on each page. Select several pages to move them to the start, the end, or one step at a time.
  3. Rotate, duplicate or remove pages if needed. The original and new order are shown; undo, redo or reset at any time.
  4. Choose a file name and select "Save arranged PDF". Your original file is not changed.

Good to know: limitations

  • Custom page numbering (for example i, ii, 1, 2) is removed when the order changes, because it describes positions.
  • Duplicated pages share their content with the original page; form fields on them show the same value as the original.
  • Accessibility tags (reading-order structure) are removed if pages are removed.
  • Password-protected PDFs are saved without the password.
  • Digitally signed PDFs: changing the pages makes the existing signature invalid.
  • Very large PDFs may exceed the memory available on phones.

Frequently asked questions

Does rearranging pages reduce quality?

No. The original pages are put in a new order; nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed. Text stays searchable and images keep their full quality.

Do bookmarks and links still work?

Yes. Bookmarks, links and form fields stay attached to their pages, wherever the pages are moved. Only links and bookmarks to pages you remove are taken out.

How do I move pages on a phone or tablet?

Hold the handle at the top of a page and drag it, or use the up and down arrows on each page. Swiping elsewhere scrolls as usual, so pages are not moved by accident.

Can I move several pages at once?

Yes. Tick the pages you want, then drag one of them or use "To first", "Earlier", "Later" or "To last". They keep their order among themselves.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is opened and saved by your browser on your device.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. The site is financed by advertising.
